Newton Rowell, Jr.

Newton Rowell, Jr. came into this world with a bang on April 19, 1930 and went out the same way on May 30, 2014. He lived everyday of his life to the very fullest and anyone that was lucky enough to have known him knew this very well and loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Gerri of 63 years; his son, Don (Rosemary); his daughter, Patti (Bill) Hixson; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Newt was a longshoreman for 40 years and a member of Local 13 and Local 94. He was a resident of Lomita for 77 years and an active member of the San Pedro Elks Club for 28 years. We will be celebrating his life at the ILWU Memorial Hall on June 13th from 3-7 pm. As Newtie would say, "This Bud's for you!" Please sign the guest book at
