Her volunteer contributions also included volunteer work as the President of University of Colorado Women's Club, Northwestern Faculty Wives Club, and Evanston Women's Board for the Northwestern Settlement in Chicago. She was also the Volunteer Coordinator at the University of Colorado's Wardenburg Student Health Center, Co-chair of the Community Council for International Students, and Docent at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. Most recently she served her beloved Frasier, coordinating resident volunteers, hosting resident celebrations, and touring guests. Her oldest child, Mark William Fischer, passed away on August 1st, 2012. She is survived by her sister Marilyn Ruth Allen, three daughters, Ruth Fischer, Beth Fischer Reasoner, and Rebecca Fischer, as well as her 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
