Jacqueline Jordan Obituary
Jacqueline Irene Defler Jordan went to be with Bill, the love of her life March 19, 2013. Jackie was born April 19, 1936 in Lafayette and proud of being a Bobcat. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1771. Jackie retired from being the librarian at Erie Elementary after 22 years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and knew her way around the kitchen. She was an expert in baking wedding cakes, taking pride in the fact that no other cake tasted any better. She is preceded in death by her dad, Harold Defler, mother Margaret Williams, sister Barbara Farenholz, and her beloved husband, William (Bill) Jordan. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her daughter Margaret Adams (Dan), son Bud Jordan (Debbie), son Bruce Jordan and daughter Lisa Carlson (Kevin). She was very proud of being grandma to 10 grandchild and 10 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Darrell Howe Mortuary on Sunday, March 24, from 6:00 - 7:00pm, followed by a recitation of the rosary at 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00am Monday, March 25, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Msgr. Robert L. Amundsen serving as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Lafayette Cemetery.
