Joseph Mariano Polizzano, a resident of Louisville since 2006, died peacefully Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church, 902 Grant Avenue, Louisville, CO, with Father Timothy Gaines of the church as celebrant. A reception will be held at the church following the mass, Military Honors will be provided by the United States Coast Guard. Burial will take place at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver at 2:15 p.m. at Staging Area C. He was born on June 17, 1924 in New York, NY to Ciro and Giuseppina (Greco) Polizzano. He attended New York City public schools. Joseph worked as a Manager for several printing plants. Joseph enlisted in the Unites States Coast Guard and served from 1942 until 1946. He married Jennie Arnone on January 16, 1949 in New York, New York. He is survived by his wife, Jennie Arnone Polizzano of Louisville, CO, and his daughter Pamela Polizzano of Louisville, CO. One grand-daughter Nicole G. (David) Mok. Three great-grandchildren; Jordan, Owen & Jackson Mok. He was preceded in death by his daughter Joanne Varga, who died June 17, 2008. Joseph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was dedicated to his family and friends.
