Dominick 'Tom' Marra RotterdamDominick Tom Marra, 88, of Rotterdam, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. Born in Schenectady to the late Dominick and Margarita (Mango) Marra, Dominick served in the US Army during World War II. Working in the shipping department at the Watervliet Arsenal for 16 years before his retirement in 1983, Dominick had previously worked in the same capacity at the army depot for 24 years. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Schenectady. Dominick was predeceased by his son, Mark T. Marra and brother, Frank Marra. He is survived by two sisters, Phyllis Czapski of Burnt Hills and Isabelle Welborn of Lake Charles, LA; longtime friends and neighbors, Kim and Karen Henderson and their son, Nicholas; as well as several nieces and nephews and many other loving neighbors and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5 at 11 a.m. at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, with a visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady.
