Edna M. Gray NiskayunaEdna M. Gray, 94, of The Terrace at Glen Eddy, passed away on October 30, 2013. She was born in Hart, Michigan and worked in a Probate Court, Dept. of Pardon Parole in the state of Michigan and U.S. Selective Service. She was inducted in the Women's Army Corps and served as a Senior Sgt. Legal Stenographer in a Judge Advocate General's Dept. of the U.S. Strategic Air Forces in Europe; two years in England and France during WWII. Edna married Leland E. Gray on August 10, 1946. During their residence in Princetown, she was employed as a stenographic secretary to the superintendent and Board of Education for the Schalmont Central School District. She was a member of the Princetown Reformed Church in Duanesburg and a life member of the VFW Post 1895 in Schenectady. Edna was predeceased by her husband, Leland; her parents, Bert and Della Winget; and sisters, Margarite Griffin and Alice Jane Rollins. She is survived by two sons, Barry (Ellen) Gray and Kent (Linda) Gray; grandchildren, Ryan (Tania) Gray, Dena (John) Rich, Stephanie (Brian) Singer, Jennifer (Lee) Hanna, Kristie (Michael) Hennessey and Colleen Gray; great-grandchildren, Connor, Nathan, Ella, Camryn, Emilia, Keira, Gavin and Natalie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Terrace at Glen Eddy for the love and compassion they extended to Edna while she resided there over the past few years.
