Eleanor R. Bronk ScotiaEleanor R. Bronk, 80, of Scotia formerly of Gloversville, passed away at home on February 5, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Gloversville, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Johnson) Flansburg. Eleanor was born and raised in Gloversville and moved to Scotia seven years ago to be with her belovedg family. She was a homemaker. Eleanor was a member of the North Main Street Methodist Church in Gloversville. She was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Gloversville as well as the Order of the Eastern Star. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Frank W. Bronk Jr. whom she married November 19, 1955; her great-granddaughter, Alannah Marie McWalker; and three brothers, Edward Flansburg, Raymond Flansburg and John Flansburg. She is survived by one son, Frank W. Bronk III (Brenda) of Fonda; one daughter, Elizabeth McWalker Stemmler of Scotia; one sister, Phyllis Holland of Gloversville; also survived by eight grandchildren, Amy Jo Bronk, Bobbie Jo McWalker, Jamie McWalker, William David Bronk, Nicole Bronk, Christopher Cross, Amanda Przybylowicz and Trycia Woodbeck; as well as 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Sunday 4 p.m. at the Bond Funeral Home, Broadway and Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service. Contributions can be made in Eleanor's memory to the -Capital NY Region, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110.
