Frank James McKay San Antonio, TXFrank James McKay loving father, grandfather and honored patriot went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2013. Frank was born on January 12, 1948, in Schenectady, NY to Katherine and Frank McKay. He served in the US Army and received his Purple Heart during the Vietnam War. Frank retired from Southwest General Hospital after 30 years of service. He loved fishing at Lake Corpus Christi and traveling to Louisiana. He will truly be missed by his wife of 45 years, Adelina; and his sisters, Marjorie Byrnes (Keith) and Natalie Gordon (Dan). He is also survived by his daughter, Joan McKay-Trevino (children, Chase and Jared); and three sons, Frank (wife, Anna Renae, children, Blayde and Dylan), David (wife, Monika, children, Maddie and Austin) and James (wife, Javon); and numerous extended family and friends. He will also be missed by his loving pets, Baby and Tiny. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. in the Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel (1281 Bandera Rd., San Antonio, TX 78228). Procession will depart Hillcrest on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at 10 a.m. for interment in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Donations in memory of Frank McKay may be sent to Wounded Warriors Project or the Salvation Army.
