Frank W. Rosin Rotterdam Frank W. Rosin, 92, died Sunday morning, August 10, 2014 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born and educated in Rotterdam, Frank was the son of the late Max and Ida (Speckin) Rosin and a graduate of Draper High School. A WWII Army veteran, Frank received a Purple Heart in April of 1945. A toolmaker for the General Electric Company for more than 26 years prior to his retirement in 1974, Frank was a member of the Rotterdam United Methodist Church, the GE Quarter Century Club, the Hudson Mohawk Daylily Society, the Hosta Society and the D.A.V. Frank also enjoyed antiquing, gardening and traveling. Predeceased by his daughters, Katine Rosin and Patricia Rosin Kaczmereck, Frank is survived by his wife of 66 years, Kathleen Sharp Rosin, whom he married August 1, 1948; a grandson, Kevin Kaczmereck; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Cowley and Khloe Kaczmereck; and nieces, Becky Torres, Darlene Swisher, Diane Epting, Marianne Barone and Susan Ingersol. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Memory Gardens, Watervliet Shaker Road, Colonie, NY, with military honors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
