Harry A. Loucks Sr. SchenectadyHarry A. Loucks Sr., 90, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013, at Capstone Center For Rehabilitation and Nursing, in Amsterdam NY. He was ill for six years. Harry was born on May 21, 1923 in Schenectady, the son of Arthur and Lurena Loucks. He was predeceased by his wife, Viola, whom he married on June 29, 1946. Viola passed away June 29, 2006. Harry lived in Scotia, and was a longtime resident of the area. He attended Scotia-Glenville Schools, and worked for G.E. Steelworkers for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Papa was a wonderful grandfather to Kelli. He was always there for grandparent's day or to pick her up from school. Mama and Papa would also include Kelli on their trips to the Adirondacks. He was a great father and grandfather. His infectious smile will be greatly missed! Papa, now you can smile with the angels. Harry is survived by his son, Harry Loucks Jr. (Linda); his granddaughter, Kelli Egan (Bill); great-grandaughters, Kylie and Molli Egan; sister, Shirley Preddice, and nephews, Tim and Phillip Preddice.
