Joseph R. Olsheski RotterdamJoseph R. Olsheski, 66, passed away unexpectedly on November 16, 2013. He was the son of Anna Olsheski of Avoca, PA. He graduated from Penn State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He joined GE upon graduation where he was employed in the Steam Turbine Department until retirement. He was a scout master of Troop 32 for many years. The Eagle Scouts flourished under Joe's leadership. He was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club and the Elfun Society. He was a passionate golfer who loved playing with his loyal friends. He loved his family dearly and will be missed by all. However, cherished memories last forever. Joe is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Beverly; two sons, David of Loveland, CO and Paul and Melissa of Wesley Chapel, FL. He is also survived by his sister, Theresa and Ronald Orlosky of Duryea, PA and his niece, Denise and Mark Ludwikowski of Clark Summit, PA. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Joshua, Jordan, Josie and Logan and his great-nieces, Lauren and Leah. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarcoStone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at St. Gabriel's Church, Rotterdam. Interment will be private in the family cemetery in Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations may be made to St Gabriel's Church, Rotterdam.
