GLENNA "NANA" KLEINSMITH Obituary
Glenna "Nana" Kleinsmith, 81, of Schaumburg died peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on August 10, 2014 at Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence in Elk Grove Village, IL after a long illness. Glenna was born August 22, 1932, in Toledo, OH, but grew up in Clark Lake, MI. She was the daughter of George and Myrtle Eagy. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1955, with a degree in Business Management. Glenna was active in church and community activities, always thinking of others and giving of her time and talents. She loved her family and friends and was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her passions were her grandsons Eric and Tim Anderson, and her great granddaughter, Natalie Anderson. Glenna was an active member of St. Hugh Episcopal Church, Elgin, IL and is survived by her daughter, Beth (Steve) Anderson of Schaumburg, grandsons Eric Anderson of Schaumburg, Tim (Jessica) Anderson and great granddaughter, Natalie Anderson of Cox Creek, KY, and many loving family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Kleinsmith, and children, Janie and Jeff. A family visitation will be held Saturday, August 16th at 10:00 am at St. Hugh Episcopal Church, 36W957 Highland Ave., Elgin, IL 60123, followed by a memorial service celebrating Glenna's life, at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence, 901 Martha Street, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 or St. Hugh Episcopal Church, 36w957 Highland Ave., Elgin, IL 60123.
