SCHAUMBURG - Jack G. Crump, formerly of Palatine, was born on July 18, 1924 in St. Louis, MO to Elmo and Catherine (nee Williams) Crump. He died Saturday, August 2, 2014 in Schaumburg. Mr. Crump was the founder and owner of Kay Ray, an industrial process control company; and was the creator of multiple industrial patents. He was also a member of the Arlington Heights Rotary Club. Jack was an avid world traveler, loved to learn, and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. John is survived by his children, John (Maureen) Crump, Richard (Judy) Crump, Nancy (Paul) Wangles, Cathy Grabowski, and Bernard (Lisa) Crump; his grandchildren, Sara and Rick Crump, Jackie (Tony) Earley, Will, John, and Anne Wangles, Laura and Cara Grabowski, Charlotte (Bobby) Crismyre, and Ross and Veronica Crump; his great grandchildren, Jamie and Alex Earley; and his sister, Kathleen D'Amato. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Marilyn Crump; and his parents. Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said 9:15 am, Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the funeral home, proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 am. Burial at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Sisters of the Living Word, 800 N. Fernandez, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
