JAMES GEORGE "JIM" TROKSA Obituary
SCHAUMBURG - Funeral services for James "Jim" George Troksa, 67, a resident of Schaumburg since 1987, formerly of Northwest Indiana, will begin with prayers at 10:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, at Michaels Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 800 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg, proceeding to Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Hoffman Estates. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the funeral home. Born Aug. 22, 1946, in East Chicago, IN to the late George and the late Virginia (nee Nowakowski) he passed away peacefully Jan. 29, 2014, at his home. Jim was proud to have earned a B.S. and an M.S degree with a concentration in mathematics from Purdue University. A former teacher at Hammond High School, Jim went on to work in Information Technology with Acxiom in Downers Grove, later retiring from Discover Card. Jim was an avid Chicago sports fan, his most cherished memory was attending Game 2 of the 2005 World Series with his sons. Jim was the adoring husband of 26 years to the late Mary Ann (nee Makaneski); loving father of Christopher, Nicholas and Jeffrey; fond brother of Raymond (Jean); he will be missed by his dear friend and college roommate Jack Arnold and all those whose lives he touched.
