JOHN ERICK "ERICK" WICKSTROM Obituary
John Erick "Erick" Wickstrom John Erick "Erick" Wickstrom, 71, a resident of Sebastian, FL, longtime former resident of Mt. Prospect, IL, died peacefully in his sleep on June 18, 2013. He was born on December 23, 1941 in Chicago, IL. Erick is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judi Wickstrom, Sebastian, FL, daughter, Cheryl Wickstrom, Chicago, IL, son, David (Amy) & grandson, Cole Wickstrom, San Francisco, CA, and sister, Doris Wickstrom, Minneapolis, MN. Erick attended Lane Tech High School and the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL. Before retiring he worked as a Salesman for Heil Chicago in McCook, IL and R.G. Smith Equipment Company in Des Plaines, IL. Erick was an expert fisherman, and shared his love for the sport with his family and friends. As a board member of the Sebastian Fishing Club, he was involved with the "Take a Kid Fishing" program. Erick was the Vice President of Friends of Sebastian Inlet State Park and spent his Saturdays as a docent in the Fishing Museum.
