1934 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - Patricia Ann Ferguson, 79, passed away Thursday, March 6, at her home at Luther Village in Arlington Heights. She was born in 1934 in Seaview, Washington, was a 1951 graduate of West Seattle High School in Seattle, and a 1954 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Washington. After graduation, Patricia served as the choir director at Bethany Presbyterian Church in San Bruno, California. She also founded and directed the Peninsula Choraliers, a women's choral group. When she and Bob moved to Illinois, she founded and directed The Northwest Choralettes, later known as Images of Sound. Pat has served as the choir director at Wood Dale Community Church and Wesley United Methodist Church in Elgin, thus sharing her ministry of music for over 50 years. Most recently, for a brief time until her death, she directed the Luther Village Choir. Her life was marked by vibrant joy and a deep love of God, her family and countless friends. Surviving are her loving husband of 60 years, Robert Ferguson; her children, Gregory (Corinne) and Jeannette (Andrew), and three grandchildren; Christopher (Kathleen), Carolyn (Gustavo), and Robert. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 16 at First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, 1903 E. Euclid Avenue, Arlington Heights, IL, followed by a Memorial Service at 4 p.m. Memorials in honor of Pat would be appreciated for Wesley United Methodist Church, 1070 South Street, Elgin, IL 60123, The Salvation Army, The or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
