Obituary Condolences

Shirley Webb formerly of Elmhurst Shirley Webb, 84, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Nov. 30, 2012. Shirley attended University of Illinois prior to becoming a professional bowler and winning the National Title. After a long and enduring courtship, she married Chuck. They started their family in Hartford City, Ind. until moving to Elmhurst in 1969. Although her devotion was to her family, Shirley continued her passion to her floral career with Pfund & Clint. There was a continuous revolving door for friends and family, not only in their home but at their cottage on Lauderdale Lakes, Wis. or when on Marco Island, Fla. Shirley was the cherished daughter of the late John A. and Mabel M. Michal, prominent owners of Michal's Florist on Chicago's south side; devoted wife of 55 years to the late Charles "Chuck" Webb; loving mother of Jay (Nancy) Webb, Terri (Ted) Crapple, Lee (Dave) Williams and Linn Kroeger; and dear grandmother of Erik and Brian Webb, Kyle and Jennifer Williams, and Allison Kroeger. May we always remember the way she could light up a room with her smile as she is now reunited in eternity with her best friend. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York Road, Elmhurst. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery, Elmhurst. Memorial contributions to the of Greater Chicago Chapter, 8430 West Bryn Mawr, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631 would be appreciated.
