I just was informed of their passing today. Shocked! - My mom and I were just speaking of them the night before we heard the news. My father Robert worked with Bob at IL Bell (ATT). They were great friends and that's how my mom, Marilynn, became friends with Norine. The 4 of them would get together quite often. As a kid, I remember going to Arlington Park Race Track with my dad and meeting Bob and his daughter. He always had his binoculars and usually bet the odds on favorite! My heart and prayers go out to the family.
Rest in peace Bob and Norine.

To Colleen and the entire Fridlund family: I attended school with Colleen and, unfortunately, have not been able to keep in touch since then. When I heard about your parents, my heart broke for you. It's hard enough losing one parent, but, losing them both at the same time is unimaginable; and must be unbearable. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I will pray that your love for them and your fond memories will be the comfort that helps to soothe your sorrow during this most difficult time.

Dear Julie, Colleen, Chris, and Steve,
I just learned of your parents passing, today,July 24th, from a cousin who lives in Mount Prospect, IL. My husband and I are shocked. We would have come to the Mass and visitation, if we had known of their passings. It's so strange, because I've been saying, in our Christmas notes to each other, that we need to get together for a lunch or dinner to catch up. We were at your wedding Julie, at Plentywood Farm, how many years ago?
Your Dad, and my late husband, Fred Saviski, were good friends for many years. We double dated many, many times, and of course, were at your parents wedding. My huaband passed away 18 years ago, and your Dad came to his funeral at Infant Jesus of Prague, in Flossmoor, Il.
I married, Pat Doran, a fellow "1952" Fenwick graduate in 2004. In fact, I was hoping we might see your parents at Fenwick's Golden Alumni Luncheon on July 8th,2016.
Where did this horrible accident happen? It makes one realize that life is so fragile, and not to put things off. There is nothing like old friends and your parents and we go back a long way.
Needless to say, Pat and I are very sad and do so wish we could have gotten that much, long overdue gabfest, to have taken place.
We offer our deep condolences to all of you, your spouses, and to all the grandchildren.
Julie, Colleen, Chris or Steve, if any one of you remembers me, Nancy Saviski Doran, please give me a call, so I might express my deep condolences and sadness to all of you personally. I also would like to send a Mass Card for them. It's so hard for me to believe this has really happened. You all must be in a terrible fog of unreality that has become realty.

So sorry to hear of Bob and Norine.....
Both were such kind and friendly people...
We were first cousins, and had kept in
touch over the years...and we were also the grandsons of a Swedish immigrant who
came to Moorhead, MN in 1901, and formed a family here.
The family that AJ Fridlund formed consisted of 10 children, of which my
Father (Carroll Fridlund) and Bob's father
(AJ Fridlund) were family members, and brothers.....

My heart is so sad to hear of your loss . I truly loved your parents from the very first time that I met them . You talk about kind and loving people , they were all of that and more . This is such a sad time for all of you , and there are no words that one can say .But only to let you all know , that we are holding each of you in our hearts and prayers to help you through this sad time in all of your lives. I wish for each of you , peace and love as you hold on to so many wonderful memories that each of you have of your mom and dad .
