HAMPTON - Aubria B. "Heyward" Duncan, 79, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014. He was born in Loris, SC and was a resident of Hampton for 57 years. Aubria was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1993 as an auto mechanic after a 27 year career. Aubria was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew B. and Bertha L. Duncan; brothers, Andrew Duncan, H.B. Duncan; and his sister, Willa Ree Schroeder. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 51 years, Wanda Duncan; son, Brian Duncan and wife Dori of Hampton; daughter, Teresa Dodson and husband, Danny of Newport News; grandchildren, Sydney and Sean Duncan of Hampton, Lauren, Ashley, and Danielle Dodson of Newport News; and sister, Reba Mims of Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Aubria's life will be held at 11 am on Thursday, June 12, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family thanks Riverside Hospice, especially caregiver Danielle, for their support and care during Aubria's illness.
