WILLIAMSBURG - Faunretta "Friday" Mosby entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, in Consulate Health Care of Williamsburg. Her life began on August 18, 1953, the daughter of the late Lafan and Evelyn Williams of Bronx, New York. "Friday" as she was so affectionately called, was a resident of New York City for over thirty years. She attended and was a graduate of the Bronx, New York School System and later became a Grade School Teacher in the South Bronx. In 1989, she retired from teaching, and relocated to Virginia, where she worked for several day care centers. Later, she decided to try her hand at bar-tending and catering. Her last place of employment was with The Williamsburg Catering Company, which she loved so much. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late James Mosby. Unto this union, they were blessed with two beautiful children. She was also preceded in death by a child. She leaves to celebrate her precious memories her daughter, Chelisa Mosby, of Williamsburg, Virginia; her two hearts, Jordan and Jayden Harris; a host of other relatives related by blood and by water and many caring friends. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013, in Whiting's Chapel. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home by 1:45 p.m. on Saturday.
