YORKTOWN, VIRGINIA - Harry Ramsay (LtCol. USAF, Ret) left this life on December 15, 2013. He was born in Fairfield, Iowa, to Ralph and Lena Ramsay, on April 16, 1929. Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Nann W. Ramsay, in August 2013. Harry was a decorated Air Force veteran who flew Sabre and F4 Fighter Jets in the Korean and Vietnam wars. After his retirement, he had a successful career in real estate. He was involved in many civic organizations; the York River Exchange Club and the Republican Party of Virginia most recently. Harry enjoyed golfing and spending time at the beach, mostly at his vacation home in the Outer Banks. He was previously a member of Fords Colony and Kiln Creek Golf Clubs. Mr. Ramsay is survived by his three daughters: Patti (Gary) Alderman of Yorktown; Lisa (Rob) Tulloss of Yorktown, and Robin Ramsay of Poquoson. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Lara Swank, Jesse McDaries, Robert Tulloss, Maggie Tulloss, and Christopher Topping, Jr.; and one great-granddaughter, Isabel Swank. Also, he is survived by his late-wife's children Debbie (David) Smith of Gloucester, David (Tiffany) Holtackers of Poquoson, and their children and grandchild. In addition, Harry is survived by his only sister, Carol Moyer of Kankakee, Illinois; niece Ann (Gary) Pasek of Hilton Head, SC; nephew Doug (Ann) Moyer of Noblesville, Indiana; and Scott (Laurie) Moyer of Roscoe, Illinois. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2013 in Amory Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
