GRAFTON - Ginny "Jeep" was born and raised in Williamsburg, VA. She was born to Vernon and Gertrude Kirby. Her paternal grandmother raised her from a young child to adulthood. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Thomas Anderson; and her three children Jodi Parrish, Kimberly Richardson and her husband Jay, and son Patrick Anderson and wife May. Her greatest pleasure was her four grandchildren Samantha Parrish, Corey and Jake Richardson, and Joshua Anderson. Ginny attended Radford University and had the honor of being the first Miss Williamsburg in 1955. She was a member of Seaford Baptist Church and attended the Donadio Sunday school class. She retired from civil service after serving years at Ft. Eustis and finally retiring from NASA Langley in 1995. She loved helping people and had a generous heart. She will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:30 pm on Friday, September 6 at Seaford Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 9, at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, VA, for those who would like to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Seaford Baptist Church Building Fund, 1311 Seaford Road, Seaford, VA 23696. Arrangements by Amory Funeral Home, Grafton.
