YORKTOWN - Walter Clyde Clay, 77 passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 with his loving family by his side. He was originally from West Virginia, and had lived the past 34 years in Virginia. Walter retired after 26 years of Civil Service work and was an Air Force veteran. Walter's true love in his life was his family. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Bryan Clay and Anona Walkup Clay. Walter is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Elta Richardson Clay, ; Five daughters, Rebecca Clay Hovorka (Tom), Deborah Clay Anderson and fiancée Dwayne Ball, Terri Clay Moore (Henry), Belinda Clay Trombetta (Nick), Crystal Clay Phillips (Scott). Ten grandchildren; Rachel, Holly, Cristy, Joey, Michelle, Clay, Sean, Nichole, Van, and Breanna, as well as four great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Ray Clay (Vada), and A.B. "Poochie" Clay and a Sister, Phyllis Spade. The family will receive friends Friday, 6-8pm at High Lawn Funeral Home , Oak Hill, WV. A funeral service will be held Saturday, 11 am at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Michael Whisman. Burial will follow in the High Lawn Cemetery, with military honors.
