NEWPORT NEWSA - W. B. "Billy" Hudgins passed away at home at the age of 73, on Saturday, July 26, 2014. He attended Hilton Elementary School and graduated from Warwick High School. He attended Chowan College and also served in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves. Billy had several careers through the years but most of his career he was owner of Hudgins and Lowman, an industrial and marine pipe valves and fitting company, from which he retired in 2003. After retirement he enjoyed boating, motorcycle riding, hunting with friends, and meeting new people. Survivors include his wife JoAnn W. Hudgins; one son, Clark B. Hudgins and his wife, Kimberly, of Newport News; and one granddaughter, Brittany. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home with David Willis officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. Arrangements by W. J.
