SEAFORD - William T. (Bill) Williams, 76, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013. Bill was a native and lifelong resident of the Peninsula. Bill was an Air Force Veteran who proudly served his country. He enjoyed boating, hunting, playing his harmonicas. The great joy of his life was his beloved children and grandchildren who will always carry him in their hearts and honor his legacy. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Addie Williams; a brother L.E. Williams, Jr; and two sisters, Betty Van Fossen and Gladys Nagy. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Bess; three sons, Chris Williams, Steve Williams, and Scott Williams and his wife Tina. He is also survived by a sister Elizabeth Owens and eight grandchildren, Derek and Austin Wiechler, Cody and Shelby Rae Williams, Caroline Grace and Ayden Michael Williams, and Tommy and Lafayette. The family would like to express their gratitude for the compassionate care Bill received in the Oncology Unit of Sentara Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 18, in the chapel of Amory Funeral Home, Grafton with Rev. Steven Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Sunday, March 17, in the funeral home. The family will also receive friends following interment on Monday at the home of Scott and Tina Williams.
