Henry A. Martin

formerly of Towaco

Henry A. Martin, fondly known as Coach Hank passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013. He was born December 12, 1930 in Patterson, NJ to the late Henry and Mabel Martin and raised in Lincoln Park, NJ. He worked for Jersey Central Power and Light, retiring as a line foreman. Henry and his wife Merilyn moved to Ormond Beach, FL from Towaco, NJ in 1990. Henry proudly served his country during the Korean War in the Marines. He was a member of the Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church, NRA, Freemasons, Halifax Cruise Club, Towaco Hunting Club and raised hunting dogs. Hank coached girls fast pitch softball at Seabreeze and Ormond Rec.

Henry is survived by his wife, Merilyn; devoted nephew, Roy Longo of Ormond Beach, FL; sister-in-laws, Carol Beatty of Wayne, NJ, Joyce Fedell of Ormond Beach, FL, Gloria Hinderlong of Wayne, NJ, and Bonnie Longo of Ormond Beach, FL; cousin, William Cameron of Tarpon Springs, FL; 7 additional nieces and nephews, extended family and countless friends.

A memorial service will be held 3:00PM Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.volusiamemorialfu nerals.com.
