Leonard Borowski, 86, of Covington Twp., PA died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 in Commonwealth Hospice in Scranton, PA. His wife of 58 years is the former Veronica Marshall. Born November 23, 1925 in Linden, NJ, he is the son of the late Constantine and Agnes (Yuhas) Borowski. He was a US Army Air Corps - World War II veteran serving in the China/Burma/Indian theater. After his discharge from the service he became a member of the Caldwell Twp. Police Department. He worked as a machinist for many years before going into civil service at Picatinny Army Depot in Dover, NJ. Leonard retired in 1987 and later moved to Covington Twp., PA from Pine Brook, NJ. He was a member of the Wall-Sebring American Legion - post # 274 of Gouldsboro, PA, and a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church of Moscow, PA.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Veronica Rothacker and husband John of Okinawa, Japan, Mary Lou Lear and husband Stephen of Schnecksville, PA, Constance Borowski of Duluth, GA; and a son, Leonard Borowski Jr. and wife Dawn of Montville, NJ; five grandchildren, Ryan Rothacker of Yucca Valley, CA, Jeremy Rothacker of Guam, Trevor Lear of Schnecksville, PA, and Gabriella and Matthew Borowski of Montville, NJ.

A Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 10th, 2012 at 10:30 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Church Street Moscow, PA. Interment with military honors: St. Catherines Cemetery - Covington Twp. PA. Friends may call: Saturday 9:00 am - 10:00 am in the Duffy & Snowdon Funeral Home, 401 Church Street, Moscow, PA.
