AGE: 75 • formerly of Morristown and Harding

Norman Hughson Tregenza, former resident of Morristown and Harding, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, October 31st, from Alzheimer's disease. Mr. Tregenza graduated from St. Lawrence University with a B.A. in Economics and from New York University with an M.B.A. He served in the Reserved Officers Training Corps and rose to the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He began his career as an investment officer at Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association and then worked for Republic Funding Corporation. Subsequently, he formed his own company. Mr. Tregenza was also a co-founder and director of Satellite Syndicated Systems and Southern Satellite Systems Incorporated. He enjoyed serving on a number of boards including St. Lawrence University and the Morris Museum.

Among his happiest experiences were golfing with friends at Baltusrol Golf Club and boating with friends and family in his beloved wood boat on Silver Lake in New Hampshire. The joyful memory of his 1985 guest conductorship for the Portland Symphony Orchestra in North Conway, New Hampshire, stayed with him for the rest of his life. He attended the Madison Church and was a dedicated member of the R.O.M.E.O. lunch group. Food and dining with friends were among his greatest pleasures.

He is survived by his wife Alyce and their two children, a son Norman Tregenza, of North Conway, NH; a daughter Suzanne Tregenza Moore, her husband Kevin Moore, two grandsons, of Basking Ridge, NJ; his sister Carol T. Lyman of North Conway, NH, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place at 4pm on Sunday, December 2nd, at the New Hope Community Church of the Nazarene, 52 Cooper Road, Denville, NJ.
