Miss Anna Beth Butler, age 78, of Lubbock, a former longtime resident of the Nacogdoches area, passed away Monday, Sept. 2, 2013. Miss Butler was born June 25, 1935, in Goodrich and was a member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed a distinguished career in public education, retiring as a speech pathologist and teacher with Central Heights Independent School District. She held a masterâ€™s degree in speech pathology from Stephen F. Austin State University. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Henry and Daisy Elisha Butler; and her brother and sister-in-law, Vernon W. and Florence Butler. Her survivors include her nephews, Dana Butler, Greg Butler and Brian Butler; and a niece, Laurie Butler. Graveside services have been set for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Sunset Memorial Park, 5127 North St., Nacogdoches, with the Rev. John Bingham officiating.
