Benjamin Wyatt Obituary
Wyatt, Benjamin Anderson Was born on Aug. 1, 1923 in Menard, TX to Bennie & Buella Wyatt. He served in the 36th Infantry Division during WWII leaving home to serve his country at only 17. He graduated from the Texas A&M University school of Engineering in 1949. He served as an officer in the Korean War. He worked for J.W. Bateson Co. for 39 years before retiring in 1990. He met and married Rebecca Hill Wyatt in 1953. They were married for 47 years until the Lord took her home in 2000. They were blessed with 3 children: Lee, Alan and Lynne Wyatt, and 3 grandchildren: Tracy, Hannah and Jesse Wyatt. Ben was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in Nov. 2011 and endured 4 rounds of treatment before making the decision to stop due to medical complications. His family rejoices that God blessed Ben with a "bonus" year filled with golf, hunting, fishing and serving at Prestonwood Baptist Church. Services will be held at 3 PM Friday, March 22, 2013 in Restland Wildwood Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Restland. Memorials may be made to Trinity Christian Academy Lower School in Addison, TX.
