Davis, Bill E. Bill E. Davis, age 77 of Irving, died on December 16, 2013. A cherished son, husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend, Bill shared his love, wisdom and humor with everyone he encountered. Bill was born in Red Springs, TX on March 30, 1936 as the third of four children to Billie Joe Davis and Dora Cecil Hitt. After graduating from Winona HS in 1954, Bill attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he met and married his wife Nelda in 1959. Bill earned a degree in mechanical engineering and applied that in a career in the baking industry that sent him around the world and included positions such as President at Pulver Systems and President of Bill Davis & Associates. Bill also served the Lord throughout his life as a youth mission trip counselor and Sunday school teacher and as an example to others. Bill is survived by Nelda; sons Scott and wife Georgana of Irving; Andy of Plano; Todd and wife Domini of Arlington; brother Ron and wife Rosa of Mineola along with his grandsons Gabriel and Brogan. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2013 at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church in Irving. Donations can be made to the PPUMC Pastor's Discretionary Funds.
