Winborn, Bobbi Sue Bobbi Sue Winborn, died 03-27-2013. Born 04-21-1940, Bobbi Sue was preceded in death by father Leonard R. Winborn, mother Sue Hunter Winborn and brothers Robert S. and John H. Winborn. She is survived by her Blue and Gold Macaw, Sylvester, sister Mary E. Winborn of Corpus Christi, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends of long and short term. Bobbi Sue was a very accomplished artist of many disciplines. In painting, she began as a teenager studying under Olin Travis and later at The University of Texas and SMU under Jerry Bywaters. She won the Umphrey Lee Student competion twice; first the Purchase Prize in 1960 and Honorable Mention in 1961. Painting portraits on commission beginning at age 15, Bobbi Sue's portraits can be found in collections across the United States, Europe and India. In 1969, she began the study of Byzantine Iconography which continued until her death. Her Icons are found in churches and collections the world around. Interment will be at Grove Hill Memorial Park Cemetery
