Charles Gabriel Park Obituary
Park, Charles Gabriel Passed quietly in his sleep Sunday June 8, 2014. Charles was born on August 31, 1923 in Dallas, Texas and raised in Bluff View. Charles is preceded in death by his mother, Fletcher Spearman Park; father, Robert Seay Park; brother, Robert Spearman Park; and wife, Sherley Blanche Gardner Park. He graduated from North Dallas High School, attended the University of Texas, and graduated from SMU with BBA. Charles was a US Navy retired Lieutenant Commander, decorated Veteran of WWII and served in Atlantic and Pacific. He was a Master Mason of 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, a Longtime Dallas Realtor, and a member of the North Dallas Optimist Club. Charles is survived by his children, Charlotte Park Smith and James A Smith of Dallas; Thomas A Park and Jenny Lou Park of Austin; and Margaret Park Little of Rockwall; grandchildren, Elizabeth Smith Gorman and John Gorman, Emily Park Smith and Joshua Redfearn, Mary Ellen Smith Kendall and Billy Kendall, Robert Matthew Park and Carly Park, Andrew Lawrence Park and Koa Estes Park, Thomas Park Little, Julian Park Little and Ellie Park Little, and many beloved great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at The Forum and Faith Presbyterian Hospice. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Onward and upward dear Dad. Tell the Angels to turn off those GD lights. Memorial service will be held on June 18, 2014, 4:00 PM, St. Michael Chapel at St. Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church Dallas, with reception immediately after in the parlor.
