Todd, Cheryle Lynn A loving mother, daughter, sister and friend -- gently passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013, of complications from multiple sclerosis. Cheryle was born on September 18, 1956, to the union of the late Dr. Frederick D. Todd, Sr. and Earle Berneice Nathan Todd. Cheryle was the second of three children and a life-long resident of Dallas, Texas. She attended William Brown Miller and John Neely Bryan elementary schools, Oliver Wendell Holmes Junior High and graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1974. After high school, she attended the University of Texas at Austin and Arlington. She was employed with Oryx Energy Co. in accounting prior to her illness. As a member of New Hope Baptist Church, she served on the Trustee Board and was active in the music department. Cheryle is survived by her son, Clifton Jason Todd, Sr. (Tiffany); grandchildren, Clifton J. Todd, II, Trintee D. Todd and Arianna Jones; Mother, Earle B. Nathan Todd; brothers, Dr. Frederick D. Todd, II (Linda) and Atty. Michael J. Todd (Gayle) and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Final viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. on May 13, 2013, at Evergreen Funeral Home with a special ceremony by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at 7:00 p.m., and the final tribute service will be Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 5002 South Central Expressway, Dallas, Texas 75215, (214) 421-5296.
