Hahne, Clifton George (Cliff) Clifton George (Cliff) Hahne died on August 8, 2013, in Louisburg, Kansas. Cliff was born to the late Otto and Tillie Hahne in Fredericksburg, Texas, on April 3, 1925. The family moved to San Antonio where Cliff graduated from Burbank High School, Class of 1943. He then joined the Air Force where he was based in St. Joseph, Missouri, for part of his service. While in the Air Force, Cliff played trumpet in the Air Force Band before completing his service in 1949. Cliff returned to Texas to attend Southern Methodist University in Dallas, graduating in 1950 with a music degree. Cliff built a career in Broadcasting for over 39 years working at WRR Radio, KIXL-Radio, KATZ Radio and Television, Petry Television. He retired twice completing his broadcasting career in 1989. His passion and talent for music afforded him the opportunity to perform many times in various venues as a professional trumpet player. He performed with the Air Force Band, SMU in Dallas, The Dallas Symphony, Hugh Fowler Orchestra, and Billy Briggs Jazz Band. His favorite gigs were with the Doc Seversen Traveling Band where he accompanied many famous singers from 1950 until the mid 1970's. He is survived by his wife Wanda Tucker Hahne of Louisburg, Kansas; daughter Diane (husband Roger) Stiles of Dallas; stepson David (wife Debbie) Tucker and grandchildren Kallee and Kiefer of Louisburg, Kansas. Also survived by his brother Dayton Hahne of Luray, Virginia. Cliff was preceded in death by his son Donald Lee Hahne, brother Stan Hahne and sister-in-laws Wilma Hahne, Sally Hahne and Renda Jones. A military graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Der Stadt Friedhof Cemetery in Fredericks-burg, Texas. Arrangements made by Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg. All those who knew Cliff are welcome to attend a Celebration of his life on Monday, September 2, 2013. The event will start at 2:00 pm at Sambuca Uptown Club, 2120 McKinney Ave Dallas, Texas 75201.
