David W. Beachum went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2013. David was born in Wichita Falls, Texas July 21, 1928. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rupert and Grace Beachum. He was survived by his wife, Pat of 60 years. His son, Jerry Beachum & wife, Debbie in Plano, TX. and daughter Carol & husband, Chuck Kannisto in Columbia, SC. David and Pat had five grand children. Brandy & husband, Ron Criss of Keller, TX. Becky & husband, Cory Burke, James Preston, and Kala Kannisto who all live in Charleston, SC. 1st. Staff Sgt. Kirk Beachum, wife, Amanda and great grandson Gavin in San Antonio, TX. David has two sisters, Barbara & husband, Tom Hendershot of Middletown, CT and Erma Ricketts of Farmington, NM. David graduated from Wichita Falls High School and went Midwestern University and University of Texas. After graduation he worked for Hughes Tool Co., American Iron works, and Wilson Mfg. David then started Diversified Manufacturers Inc. which supplied the oil Field with many products for 45 years. During this time he also built Consolidated Foundry in San Antonio, TX. He was a member of the Dallas Petroleum Club and the Nomads Club. David was a Board member for the Salvation Army for many years and he was a member of Park Cities Baptist Church. David loved his work, but was always very devoted, and loved his family and their two dogs, BB and Honeybun. David was always a big supporter of Wounded Warriors Project and would have liked any Memorials to go to them. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 12:30pm at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
