Elaine was born in Longview, Texas on March 8, 1950, to George L. and Eloise T. Dickinson. She graduated from Longview High School in 1968, and attended TCU where she was a member of Tri Delta Sorority. Though she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, she held her TCU memories and friendships dear to her heart.

Elaine enjoyed a 30+ year career with Time Warner / HBO in sales, marketing and training, allowing her to travel extensively, both nationally and internationally. Her calendar was always full of entertaining and celebrating in business and with friends and family.

Elaine developed a wide network of friends from Longview, TCU, UT and HBO and invested back into those relationships throughout her life. She was often referred to as "one of my favorites" and "a great friend." Her beautiful smile was her trademark throughout her life.

Elaine was a warrior in a 28 year battle with breast cancer. Through her strong faith and positive attitude, Elaine persevered through numerous re-occurrences and treatments, and became a great encourager to those around her. In her journey, she trusted the Lord, and always looked to the positive side of life despite her circumstances. The family wishes to thank Dr. Barry Brooks of Texas Oncology for his unwavering commitment to her over 28 years, Tina Garcia, Arlene Mayborn and the staff of Acappella In-Home Care, and Faith Presbyterian Hospice for their tender and faithful care.

"Lainey" will be dearly missed by her family and a tremendously long list of friends. With her commitment as a loving sister and aunt, Elaine leaves all of us with wonderful memories and a great legacy. She is survived by her sister, Carol Dickinson of Dallas, brother, Logan Dickinson and wife, Merry, of Fort Worth; nieces, Katie Goetz, husband Reid and great-nephews Reid Jr. and Matthew Trippe; niece, Laura Leigh Whitnell and husband Brad, and much anticipated great niece, Lucy Elaine; nephew, Logan Matthews Dickinson; and cousins, Linda Claire Warren, Franklin TN, and Wayne Hueppelsheuser, Port Isabel, TX.
