Bright Jr., Floyd L. Grapevine: Floyd L. Bright Jr., 96, passed away Tuesday, December 24th, 2013. Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Tarrant County , 2630 West Freeway, Ft. Worth, TX 76102 . Floyd was born February 6, 1918 in Preston, Oklahoma to Floyd and Wynona Bright. He retired from WBAP/KXAS TV where he was a newsman. He covered many local and national events including hurricanes; tornadoes, John F. Kennedys visit to Fort Worth and Dallas, Stock Shows, and many other events. Floyd also was a photographer who took pictures for Sports Illustrated, Look, Life, and Time magazine prior to working for WBAP. He also designed and built several innovative motion picture cameras and power supplies that were used and copied nationally. He was preceded in death by a wife, Gladys, a Grandson, Colter Bright, and two sisters. Survivors: Sons, Phil Bright and wife Wilda, Mike Bright, Granddaughter Lauren Bright, and Grandson Sam Bright.
