George Irwin Kiefert Obituary
Kiefert, George Irwin George Irwin Kiefert, age 90 of Plano, TX passed away at his home on July 10, 2014. A Navy Veteran of WWII, George served as the personal assistant to Admiral Nimitz in Hawaii. After his discharge, he worked as a civilian employee for the Army within the Department of Defense. After his retirement he drove a school bus for the Plano ISD. A member of the Knights of Columbus Council 7850, George enjoyed open wheel auto racing, restoring MG cars, golfing and bowling. But most of all George loved spending time with family. A wonderful man, George will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol (Carlene) Bachechi Morrelli, whom he married in 2007 and became step parent to the five Morrelli children, their spouses, seven grandchildren and one great grandson; his brother, Reynold, his wife Betty and their family of Plano, TX; sister, Barbara, her husband Harvey Lassanski and their family of San Diego, CA. Cremation services were conducted by the Neptune Society of Plano. A Memorial Mass will be held at 5:00 pm Monday, August 4, 2014 at St Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1201 Alma Dr., Plano, TX. Rev. Clifford G. Smith officiating.
