Guindon, George Joseph (Bud) George Joseph (Bud) Guindon, born June 20, 1920, in Detroit, Michigan, died April 19, 2013, age 92. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps, First Marine Division, 5th and 11th Regiments, from December 1941 to 1945, having enlisted the day after Pearl Harbor. He took part in the fighting at Guadalcanal, Okinawa, Tulagi, Peleliu and others in the WWII Pacific combat area and received the Purple Heart. He became an Industrial Engineer and continued to operate his own business, Airdisco, until 2011. He was married to Elsbeth (Elbie) Mills from 1946 until her death in 2000. They moved from Detroit to Richardson, Texas, in 1968. He is survived by his daughter Suzanne Kramer of Denver, Colorado, son George Guindon, Jr. of McKinney, Texas, and grandchildren Allison Kramer and Zane Guindon. He was loved by all who knew him.
