Rudel, Harold Eugene Harold was born on the family farm in the thumb of Michigan. He passed away peacefully at age 91 on December 23, 2013. He is survived by daughters, Mickie (husband, Joseph), Bonnie (daughter, Melissa), and Connie (husband William). His daughter, Jackie and husband, Rick, predeceased him; however, he is survived by their daughters, Alexis (husband Joe and great grandsons, Jackson and Ethan), Kate (husband Jason and great grand-daughters Alyssa and Madison), and Callie Willingham. Harold was co-valedictorian of his high school class and lettered in baseball, basketball, football, and track. He received his Bachelor's degree from the Univ. of Michigan in 1943 where he was a member of the wrestling team and the R.O.T.C. Harold is also an alumnus of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He volunteered for military service in WWII as a paratrooper. As First Lieutenant, Harold was active in the European Theater of Operations, where he received an Invasion Arrowhead plus three battle stars, a Bronze Star, and a Purple Heart. After service he received his Juris Doctorate from the Univ. of Michigan Law School in 1948 and was admitted to the Michigan State Bar. He was employed by Sun Oil Company, where he served as legal counsel and manager of the Exploration and Acquisitions Department. Harold was a member of the State Bar of Texas. He met and married Patricia Ann in 1949. Pat and Harold enjoyed 58 years of marriage. Harold was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed by many. A family memorial and celebration of his life was held in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station PO Box 4777, NY NY 10163-4777, in memory of Harold E. Rudel's departed wife, Patricia A. Rudel.
