James Franklin Anderson Obituary
Anderson, James Franklin Anderson, James Franklin, age 90 of Lancaster, TX passed away August 1, 2014. Born 2-1-1924 in Deport, TX. Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Uriah and Mary Wilma Bell Anderson; sister Erma Gene Deason. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Duncanville. James was raised in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas, attended John F. Peeler elementary school, and graduated from W. H. Adamson High School. He was a graduate of Southern Methodist University in 1948 with a BOA degree and retired from a career in professional accounting in 1985. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a Navy pilot in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre. During the war, on 3-18-45, he married Jeanette Gleason of Lancaster. After the war, he was a member of the Naval Reserve at the Naval Air Station in Dallas and attained the rank of Lieutenant Senior Grade. James is survived by wife Jeanette Gleason Anderson of Lancaster; son and daughter-in-law James Ronald and Kathy Anderson of Toole, TX; sons, Gary Paul Anderson of LaVeta, CO and Kevin Anderson of Lancaster, TX; two grandchildren Jason and Amy Marie; brother Thomas U. Anderson, Jr. of Lexington, TX; sister Mary Dunham of Dallas, TX, Martha Ann Giles of Chandler, TX. Family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at Byrum Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Alegria officiating. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery, Lancaster, TX. www.byrumfuneralhome.com
