Bilhartz, Sr., James Rohn James Rohn Bilhartz, Sr., of Duncanville passed away November 12, 2013. Jim was born April 18, 1931, in Ranger, Texas and grew up in Breckenridge, Texas. Jim graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering. Following graduation, Jim went to work for ARCO as a petroleum engineer. After many years with ARCO, Jim was able to fulfill his life-long dream to become an independent oil and gas operator and founded JRB Oil & Gas Company. Jim had many passions in life including his family, friends, work, spending time at the lake, and especially his beloved Texas A&M. Jim was a member of the Texas A&M Alumni Association, the 12th Man Foundation, a Texas A&M Presidential Endowed Scholarship Donor, and was honored to be named, along with his wife, Aggie Parents of the Year in 1995-1996. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Marie Bilhartz; daughters, Anna Bilhartz Roberts, Susan Bilhartz Majors and husband Donald Glenn Majors; daughter-in-law, Mary Bilhartz; sons, Dale Stephen Bilhartz and wife Cynthia Bilhartz, Dr. David Lee Bilhartz and wife Dianna Bilhartz, John Louis Bilhartz and wife Julia Bilhartz; along with sixteen beloved grandchildren, Jennifer, Danny, Jessica, Stephanie, Dale II, Jacqueline, Jamie, David II, Sara, Mary Ann, Rachael, Steven II, James, Isabella, Ashlyn, and Allison. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister, and son, James Rohn Bilhartz, Jr. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2013 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville. Burial will follow at Little Bethel Memorial Park. Visitation is Thursday, November 14, from 6-8 p.m.
