Jerry O'Reilly Obituary
O'Reilly, Jerry Jerry O'Reilly, age 73, of McKinney, Texas, passed away at his home in McKinney, on August 20, 2013. Jerry was born October 19, 1939, in Dallas, Texas, to Thomas George and Cleo (Harvey) O'Reilly. He married Jan Beth Wise on October 28, 1966, in Dallas. Jerry served our country in the United States Marine Corps from June 15, 1959 to July 25, 1963. He coached his son, Dayne, in football, baseball, and basketball. Jerry coached his grandson in football and taught a grandson to fish. He went to his grandchildren's sporting events, dance team performances, and graduations. Jerry continued coaching and preparing young athletes for the game of life for the next twenty years. He retired from Texas Instruments after thirty-two years of service. At the end of the day his greatest gift was his unconditional love for his family. He is survived by his wife, Jan Beth O'Reilly of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Debbie Brandenburg and husband, Eric of Frisco, Texas; son, Dayne O'Reilly and wife, Felenia Burge of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren, Jeremy Hinton, Nicholas Hinton, and Reilly Brandenburg, all of Frisco, Texas and Timothy O'Reilly, Brynn Starnes, Tanner Green, and Tylor Green, all of Lubbock, Texas; great-grandson, Kaden Starnes also of Lubbock; and a host of other loving family and friends. memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. A Remembrance Gathering will take place on Friday, August 23, 2013, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
