Button, Jill Schutt Age 59, passed away on June 30 in her Richardson home after battling breast cancer for two and a half years. Born in Indianapolis, Jill attended Purdue University where she became a kitchen designer and met her partner of 37 years, Rick. They moved to Dallas in 1977 where they built a beautiful life and raised two daughters. As a selfless volunteer, Jill spent time serving others at church and throughout the Pearce HS community. Her legacy lives on in her husband, Rick; her daughters, Stacey and Shelby; her father, Len; and her brother, Phillip. A celebration of her life will take place at 11am on July 19th at First United Methodist Church of Dallas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jill Button Scholarship at Pearce High School or the Mission Fund at FUMC, Dallas.
