Stambaugh, Johnson Lee Johnson "John" L. Stambaugh passed away March 26, 2014 at Settlers Ridge Care Center, Celina, Texas. He was born September 3, 1925 in McAllen, Texas to Jacob Lee Stambaugh and Lillian Johnson Stambaugh. John attended schools at Farr-San Juan and graduated in 1942. He attended Edinburg Junior College one year before enlisting in the US Army on December 18, 1943, at the beginning of World War II. He served his country in Germany and France until May 1, 1946. Upon coming home he enrolled in The University of Texas, graduating in 1949. John was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone for 7 years, General Telephone for 5 years and Lockheed Martin 29 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Saint Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church. He is survived by a host of friends and relatives. Visitation will be at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 109 S.
