Goodson, Joseph A. Joseph Allen Goodson was born on March 21, 1980. He passed away on February 2nd, 2013 in Florida. After graduation from high school he enlisted in the United States Navy attending boot camp at Great Lakes Naval Station, he departed Great Lakes and attended Navy Nuclear Power School in Charleston, SC where he became an Electronics Technician Nuke. Upon graduation from the nearly 18-month Nuke pipeline he was assigned to the USS North Carolina where he became a Plank owner as part of the Commissioning crew. During his time aboard the North Carolina he volunteered for a forward deployment aboard the USS New Hampshire in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He is survived by his 11 year old son Joseph Ray Goodson; father James (Bo) Goodson and wife Judy; mother Deborah Butts and husband Brad; brother James Goodson and wife Heather; sister Alicia Goodson and Steve Crane; step-brothers Rich Davis and wife Chisholm and Mark Davis; step-sister Angie Johnson and husband Lee and many more loving family members and friends. Honorary pallbearers: Ray Goodson (son), James (Bo) Goodson, Brad Butts, James Goodson, Rich Goodson, Mark Davis, Kenneth Cartmill. Visitation Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 from 6PM~8PM. Funeral service Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at Jeter & Son Chapel at 10AM.
