Roberts, Kim Elaine Dorsett 1958 - 2013 Kim Elaine Dorsett Roberts, passed from being an angel on earth to an angel in Heaven on Friday, November 15, 2013 after a valiant fight with breast cancer. Her strong will to live, her unwavering faith in God, and the hundreds of friends and family who love her are a tribute to the incredible life she lived. Kim was born on April 29, 1958 in Bryan, Texas to Don and Catherine Dorsett. Kim spent most of her childhood in Texas, mainly in the Richardson area. After graduating from J.J. Pearce High School, Kim obtained her B.S. in nursing from the Baylor College of Nursing, accomplishing her life-long dream of serving others. Whether in the ER or working in labor and delivery, Kim touched many lives, and her patients and co-workers absolutely loved her. In addition, Kim worked as a nurse paralegal for 20 years and was described by the attorneys with whom she worked as a "medical detective" who was tenacious and without equal. Along with her phenomenal work ethic, Kim possessed the true heart of a servant, tirelessly caring for others through the Dallas Bible Church's Awana Cubbies Program and through her community volunteer work. Kim's joy for life was contagious. Kim was married to the love of her life, Richard, for 26 years. They raised two beautiful daughters, Lindsey and Meredith. A woman of faith, Kim was the heart of the Roberts family. Kim will forever be remembered by her love and devotion to her husband, her girls and her family. Kim's beloved family members include: Her Dad, Don Dorsett; brother Keith Dorsett and wife Kim and their children Cameron and Anna,; brother Matt Dorsett and wife Tammy and their children Drew, Meg, and Will; brother-in-law Robin Roberts and wife Julie and their children Dana and Lauren; sister-in-law Jo Goudlock and husband Bob and their children Rob and Joseph. Kim is preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Dorsett, grandparents Daddy Bo and Grangie Dorsett and Papaw and Nanny Morris, and her in-laws, Oliver and Florence Roberts. The memorial service will be held November 19th, 2:00 PM at Dallas Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dallas Bible Church Children's Ministry.
