1925 - 2013 Obituary Condolences
Prevot, Malcolm Joseph Malcolm Joseph Prevot, born in Mansura, LA, on January 30, 1925, died in Berwyn, PA, on December 3, 2013. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary Ann Hay Prevot, and his daughters Lynne Mary Prevot of New York City, and Marlow Babette Prevot of Alexandria, VA. A veteran naval officer of both World War II and the Korean War, he was a graduate of Louisiana State University. He enjoyed a very successful career of 40 years as a petroleum engineer and executive with Sun Oil Company and Sun International. A resident of Beaumont, TX, from 1947 to 1970, he was transferred to Philadelphia where the family lived from 1970 to 1980, and then moved to Dallas, TX. After retiring, he and Mary Ann returned to Pennsylvania to be closer to their daughters. He and Mary Ann traveled the world - for both business and pleasure. He built and refinished furniture; loved golf, hunting and fishing, and built his own boat, which the family enjoyed for many years. At the age of 61, he took up downhill skiing and skied the black runs of Val d'Isère, France. He is also survived by two sisters, Josephine Prevot Hughes and Daphne Prevot Chatelain and brother-in-law Milton Chatelain, of Baton Rouge, LA, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the son of Guy Joseph Prevot and Nellie Glasscock Prevot of Mansura, and was predeceased by two sisters Teresa Prevot Juneau of Mansura, and Helen (Pat) Prevot Mayo of Lexington, KY. Malcolm was a loving husband, father, and brother who will be greatly missed. A Mass for Malcolm will be held at St. Norbert Church, 50 Leopard Road (entrance on Rte. 252, Darby-Paoli Road), Paoli, PA, on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at 10:00AM.
