Hoffman, Martha Ann Adamson Funeral services for Martha Ann Adamson Hoffman, formerly of Dallas, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, October 27, at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, with the Rev. Kerry Smith officiating. Mrs. Hoffman was born January 24, 1930, in Dallas. She died in Houston on October 23 following a short illness. She attended Forest Avenue High School in Dallas, serving as president of her senior class, and grew up in Ervay Street Methodist Church. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Southern Methodist University. Mrs. Hoffman served as secretary to the dean of the law school at University of Texas. Upon returning to Dallas, she worked as a paralegal at Jenkens & Gilchrist, PC, and Strasburger & Price LLP. She was a member of Oak Lawn United Methodist Church and a member of Temple Emanu-El. On June 10, 1990, she married Leo J. Hoffman. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo; her parents, Ruby and C.D. Adamson and by her brother, Gordon Adamson. Survivors include Betty Adamson of Grand Saline, Texas; Grant and Nelda Adamson of Houston, Taylor Adamson and Mimi Scribner; Jan Adamson of Grand Saline; Nancy Hoffman of Austin and Alexandra Alper; Patricia and Alan Bernstein of Houston, Katherine Cleghorn and Roger Hall, Jessica Bernstein and Rebecca Bernstein; and Alan and Liliana Hoffman of Paris, France, Caitlin Hoffman, Victor Hoffman, Laura Hoffman and Alyssa Hoffman.
